The Story So Far...

Dalton's is a British accessory brand founded in 2014 by Emma Richardson. Whilst horses were always Emma's passion and desired career path, Emma has also always had an interest in all things creative! Therefore, whilst completing an Equine Science Degree in Gloucestershire, Emma got her hands on a friends leather tools and the idea was born! With little investment, Emma did some inquiring and made a trip to London to buy a couple of leather hides and buckles; she then began watching videos online and began creating traditional leather belts and dog collars in her shared uni housing!

Next, coming up with a name to accompany the leather creations... Emma's much loved horse Dalton P also known as 'Simon' accompanied her through university, so Dalton's became the obvious and favoured option.

Dalton's made its first show-case at Gatcombe for The Festival Of British Eventing in August 2014 and you can now find Emma and the Dalton's trade stand at all major horse trials and country shows accompanied by Tilla, the over friendly, scruffy lurcher who seems to have become the Dalton's mascot!

As Dalton's has grown, Emma has relocated back to Essex roots, and her workshop is now based at her family home in the quintessential British village of Finchingfield. This is where all products are designed and the majority of collections, including British polo belts, dog collars, leads and leather snaffle clasp belts are individually manufactured by Emma. Other collections are handmade in London using luxury Italian calf suede.
